Taking an extra minute to floss once daily is perhaps the best time investment you can make. While flossing only takes less than a minute, it gives you the opportunity to cover the 30% of your tooth surface you miss when brushing. So, be sure to floss once daily to maintain a bright and healthy smile!
Not Brushing Long Enough
It’s important to remember than a proper brush should last two minutes. Brushing for less than this can leave bacteria in the mouth, which can easily be removed by smily brushing longer.
Poor Brushing Technique
The way you brush is your teeth is more important than you may think – even if you spend enough time brushing, poor technique can result in a less than optimal clean, leaving your gums and the back of your mouth at risk. Use short strokes, and hold your brush at a 45 degree angle for the best results!
Candy and Sweets
While not an issue in moderation, high amounts of candy and sweets can reek havoc on your smile. Keep candy consumption to a bear minimum to best protect your smile!
