RESTORE YOUR SMILE FASTER WITH COMPUTER GUIDED DENTAL IMPLANTS
The result of decades worth of research and development, Computer Guided Dental Implants are changing the way implant patients restore their smile.
Computer Guided Dental Implants leverage a 3D CBCT (3-Dimensional Cone Beam Computed Tomography) scan, which allows our team to look at your jaw bone structure from a variety of different angles, and “place” the dental implant using a proprietary software. In doing so, our team knows the best possible location to place an implant before the patient ever sits in the dental chair. This virtual process also makes for the best possible treatment results, and also allows the implant procedure to be completed in less time with maximized accuracy. Also, this process allows our team to place implants without having to go through the gum tissue to access the underlying bone structure, minimizing the invasiveness of the procedure and quickening healing times.
Computer Guided Dental Implants can be leveraged for both single-tooth replacement, or for multiple tooth replacement treatments including All-On-4 and All-On-6 implants, making them a versatile and robust treatment option.
Computer Guided Implants also make it possible for the implant and crown (visible piece of the implant that resembles your natural teeth) to be prepared simultaneously, and can even be placed in as little as a single visit! At Advanced Dental Care, many of our Computer Guided Implant patients have been able to receive an entirely new and improved smile in just one visit.
CONVENTIONAL DENTAL IMPLANTS
Conventional, or traditional, Dental Implants follow routine steps for placement, being wherever there has been a tooth lost for more than about nine months. This time period is how long it takes for the underlying bone to heal, which is a vital part of the implant process. This process also involves opening the gums to expose the underlying bone, which can result in some potential complications, such as:
- Chronic or acute pain and discomfort
- Heightened risk of infection
- Heightened risk of bleeding and swelling
- Requires stitches in the gum tissue to heal opening
IMMEDIATE DENTAL IMPLANT TREATMENTS
Some patients may require what are known as Immediate Dental Implants, which can be advantageous in certain cases. This process requires the implant to be placed in one appointment, where the infected root is removed, the area is disinfected, and the titanium implant, or post, is placed immediately.
The benefits Immediate Dental Implants include:
- Gum tissue and bone structure are maintained
- Patients can leave with new teeth the same day as their procedure (temporary crown)
- Fewer visits
- Being able to incorporate this treatment with Computer Guided Implants to increase accuracy and efficiency
